Leonard Cohen

Leonard Norman Cohen,(born September 21, 1934 in Westmount, Quebec) is a Canadian singer-songwriter,Pic poet and novelist. Cohen published his first book of poetry in Montreal in 1956 and his first novel in 1963.

Cohen’s earliest songs (many of which appeared on the 1967 album Songs of Leonard Cohen) were rooted in European folk music melodies[citation needed]. and instrumentation, sung in a high baritone. The 1970s were a musically restless period in which his influences broadened to encompass pop, cabaret and world music. Since the 1980s he has typically sung in lower registers (bass baritone and bass), with accompaniment from electronic synthesizers and female backing singers.

Celine Dion

Céline Marie Claudette Dion born March 30, 1968 in Charlemagne, Quebec Canada) is a singer, andPic occasional songwriter and actress. Born to a large, impoverished family, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. In 1990 she released the anglophone album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.
